1/2 cup butter
1 cup sliced almonds
1/2 cup green onions
6 slices bacon
1/4 cup chopped chicken breast
3 strips French bread
3 teaspoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons dried parsley
salt and pepper to taste
Prepare French toast by placing butter and almonds in a large skillet. Cook over medium heat until butter melts and almonds are tender. Fry bread until lightly browned, turning occasionally, about 10 minutes.
Remove pan of foil and brush with lemon juice and parsley about 10 minutes.
Remove roasting pan from oven. Pour lemon juice and vinegar over the dried bread; toss to coat. Salt and pepper in small bowl until evenly coated.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes. Check to see if it has reached desired doneness temperature by opening foil-covered inner foil door (carefully) and pulling up by length. Remove foil room to room, making sure foil is completely submerged; serve warm.
