Southwestern Bean Dip Recipe

Ingredients

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 small onion, chopped

1 (16 ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained

1 (16 ounce) package spicy taco seasoning mix

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

2 teaspoons chili powder

1 (16 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained

1 package shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

1 box chili cooking mix

1 (1 ounce) package mild onion soup mix

1 (4 ounce) can chopped green chile peppers

1 teaspoon minced garlic

Directions

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in onion, and saute for 10 minutes.

Peel and halve the onion. Heat the skillet over medium heat and cook onion slowly until golden brown. Mix in garbanzo beans, sausage mixture, Worcestershire and chili powder. Keep stirring until just cooked. Stir in corn, cheese, chile peppers and garlic. Bring to a spoon-over-top of pan, crumble and sprinkle with minced onion. Pour over dish of vegetable mixture and serve.
