Easy Rye Bread Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups white sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup rye flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 egg

1/2 cup milk

1/3 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.

In a large bowl, mix sugar, salt, rye flour, brown sugar, oil, egg, milk and vanilla extract. Mix well. Pour mixture into prepared loaf pan.

Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until very lightly browned. Cool bread completely before cutting into squares, or store in plastic wrap tightly covered in refrigerator.
