1 pound lean ground beef
2 pounds lean ground pork
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon dried basil
2 teaspoons dried sage
2 tablespoons dried oregano
4 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium saucepan, bring 1 cup water to a boil and add beef. Reduce heat to low. Boil 2 cups beef broth, reserving about 1/2 cup.
Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
Add pork, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, oregano, basil, rosemary, basil and oregano to beef mixture. Mix well. Add enough of the broth to coat that portion of meat.
Heat 1/2 cup of water in a small saucepan to a boiling, and pour over mixture.
Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 50 minutes. Remove mixture from saucepan, and stir in beef broth and cheese. Reduce heat to low, and cook 10 minutes.
Remove meat mixture from saucepan, and stir in ground beef, cheese, and broth mixture. Add more broth to coat meat mixture. Pour mixture over meat mixture, cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese and serve immediately.
