1 (9 inch) pie crust
1/2 cup almond extract (optional)
1/4 cup white sugar
1 (8 ounce) can whipped cream
2 tablespoons margarine, melted
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large mixing bowl, stir together almond extract, sugar, whipped cream, margarine and vanilla. Fold in egg. Pour mixture into pastry shell.
Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour. Moisten the edges of the cake with a spatula, or place a wooden spoon into the center to prevent sticking. Cool and refrigerate.
