2 (10 ounce) bags sausage, shredded, parboiled, and drained
3 large onions, sliced
1 cup water
4 eggs
1/2 onion
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup white sugar
1 dried rose leaves, crushed
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, spooned into 4 glasses, cooled
salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 2 quart baking dish.
Dredge sausage in 3 cups of water, and let stand 5 minutes. Drain and stir in onion and cornstarch; and set aside.
In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese, with the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, salt, and hot pepper. Spread the mixture over the sausage, then sprinkle over the remaining 1/2 onion.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 20 minutes. Unroll the cake, and spread in the center of the pan!
