1 1/2 cups butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
1 (30 ounce) can buttermilk chocolate milk chocolate syrup
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Place the butter, brown sugar, brown sugar and chocolate milk chocolate syrup in a medium bowl.
In a small bowl, mix together the white sugar, salt and egg. Stirring constantly, beat the egg into the chocolate milk chocolate syrup mixture until creamy. Stirring well, gradually pour the milk mixture into the butter mixture. Mix until well blended. Transfer the dough into the prepared pan.
Bake for 1 hour in the preheated oven. Cool cookies on baking sheets, covered. Allow cookies to cool completely before cutting into squares.
