1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup white sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract, or to taste
1 (16 ounce) can sliced apples
1 yellow apple, sliced
2 (8 ounce) cans sliced pineapple with juice
2 teaspoons lemon zest
1 (10 ounce) package frozen whipped topping, thawed
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10 inch dish.
In a large bowl, blend cream cheese, sugar, and milk. Beat egg and vinegar into creamed cream cheese mixture, then salt and pepper into cream cheese mixture. Stir in slices of bread, fruit, pineapple, lemon zest, and whipped topping. Pour mixture into 10 inch pastry shell.
Bake in preheated oven for 50 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bake an additional 15 minutes, or until pastry is golden brown.
