1/2 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon milk
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (3 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
1 cup chopped walnuts
In a medium bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar and sugar until smooth. Beat in the vanilla extract. Combine the milk, egg and vanilla; stir into the creamed mixture until fully blended. Fold in the pudding mix. Pour mixture into pie crust. Cover and refrigerate overnight, or at least until completely set.
Preheat the oven broiler.
Place pie crust in preheated oven broiler pan. Fry crust over medium heat until golden brown. Heat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Brush top with egg white.
Remove pie from oven. Bake in preheated oven until brown, about 15 minutes. Remove pie from oven and cool completely.
