Chunky Almond Brownie Brownies Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, softened

1/3 cup packed light brown sugar

1 teaspoon almond extract

1 egg

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1 1/2 cups chopped almonds

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1 cup heavy whipping cream

1 (16 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour an 8x8 inch pan. Sift together the flour, baking powder and cinnamon. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar and almond extract. Beat in the egg and oil. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the chocolate chips, then the cream. Stir just until combined. Press the batter into the prepared pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the brownies comes out clean. Cool completely and refrigerate until set.

Spread cream frosted brownies evenly on the top of the brownies. Reserve 1/2 cup whipped topping for garnish.

Similar to anago ... good, simple recipe. This is all right. The whole family really liked it. you don't need mint or spearmint for niceties I think.

Absolutely delicious and very easy. Sooooo versatile. First time i grilled chicken . Lovely colour and texture. I used olive oil instead ofric acid - thanks for something different :)
