2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 (8 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms
1 (16 ounce) can hot pepper sauce
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese and butter, softened
1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
1 1/2 tablespoons dried red pepper flakes
2 cloves garlic, pressed
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Place a sheet of aluminum foil on a large baking sheet. Place the cream cheese, lemon juice, spaghetti sauce, mushrooms, hot pepper sauce and cream cheese. Spread the mixture evenly over the foil.
Place the cream cheese mixture on the baking sheet. Brush cream cheese mixture with the remaining lemon juice. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Cut and serve.
This recipe is easy but I didn't follow the recipe exactly. I didn't use onions or red peppers. I just kept putting the puree together and it tasted good. It waaay too sweet so didn't coat the spoon . But I would make it again but I think the sugar killed the taste.
