Japanese Green Tea Cocktail Cake Recipe

Ingredients

1 (18.25 ounce) package white cake mix

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 cup white sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

5 eggs

3/4 cup buttermilk

3/4 cup tartar

2 cups confectioners' sugar for decoration

1/2 cup vegan butter

1/4 cup water

1/2 cup flaked coconut

1 cup flaked coconut

1 cup pecans

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour one 10x15 inch pan. In a large bowl, cream together the cream cheese, sugar and salt. stir in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the buttermilk. Pour into prepared pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 60 to 70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool.

To make the frosting, use the following instructions:

In a large bowl, stir together the hot cream and sugar until smooth. Beat in the flour, then stir in the cocoa and the baking soda. Stir in the coconut and pecans.

Fill the cooled cake with pecan halves.
