Sausage Suetake Sausage Bisque Recipe

Ingredients

1 large baking dish

1/3 cup butter

1 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1 pound ground beef

1 onion, chopped

1 (8 ounce) package cooked suet

1 (10.5 ounce) can black water

2 bay leaves

1 tablespoon oil

1 tablespoon lemon juice

3 tablespoons ground cinnamon

1 1/2 pounds ground beef

1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce

1 egg, beaten

1/2 cup water

1 (10 ounce) package frozen peas, thawed and drained

2 (10 ounce) packages frozen mixed vegetables, thawed

1 (12 ounce) package unsalted butter

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and stir in sugar. Heat through, then gradually stir in salt until all the butter is melted. Remove from heat. Stir in ground beef, onion and suet. Stir in tomato sauce and water, and simmer; cook 4 to 5 minutes.

In a small bowl, mix egg, 1/2 cup water, and cinnamon. In a blender combine tomato sauce, egg, 1/2 cup water, and flour; puree. Stir in some butter. Stir in all. Pour sausage mixture into the centre of the saucage. Stir in potatoes and bay leaves. Pour mixture into baking dish and bake in preheated oven for 1 hour.
