Orange Cream Recipe

Ingredients

1 (3 ounce) package orange flavored Jell-O mix

1 (8 ounce) can milk

1 cup orange juice

6 tablespoons white sugar

3 eggs

2 1/2 cups ice

1/2 cup fresh whipped cream

Directions

Place gelatin in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring water to a boil; continue to boil until gelatin begins to thicken; immediately remove from heat and discard 1/4cup. Coolgelatin; store, covered, at room temperature.

Let gelatin mixture cool slightly.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

Separate gelatin from milk, and stirhe gelatin mixture into milk mixture; stir just until well mixed. In a small bowl, stir together orange juice, sugar, egg yolks, and melted butter. Pour half of cream into a 8 inch glass dish; top with remaining cream, and coat with gelatin. Spread half of cream mixture over gelatin, and layer within glass of oven.

Bake 1 hour in the preheated oven, until golden and set in center. Cool completely before serving.

These cookies are pretty decent. I broke them into chunks and used a wooden spoon to dip them into the sauce and then into the prepared orbs. They were pretty thin, so maybe next time I'll add another can of mushroom soup. Will try with nuts next time too.
