1 cup cornmeal
2 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons dried thyme
2 tablespoons dried chives
1 cup milk
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups water
2 tablespoons butter
6 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup heavy cream
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Dissolve cornmeal and salt in a medium bowl. Crumble cornmeal and milk into a large bowl.
In a separate bowl, beat eggs until frothy; stir in water, 2 tablespoons butter, and 2 tablespoons cream. Spoon mixture into cornmeal/egg mixture batter. Stir in cream one tablespoon at a time, even if the mixture is a little dry, until smooth. Watch Now
Pour into greased baking dish, to form a ball. Baking in preheated oven for 60 minutes, until a knife inserted just before serving comes out clean.
