Strawberry Cream Cake Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter or margarine

1 cup packed light brown sugar

1 tablespoon water

1 1/2 cups strawberries, hulled

3 eggs, beaten

3 milk chocolate syrup

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

2/3 cup sour cream

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 eggs

1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts

2 1/2 cups flaked coconut

2 oranges

2 dashes hot chocolate

1 cup strawberries

1 cup confectioners' sugar for dusting

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan. Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, and white sugar, set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, water, strawberries, eggs, and milk chocolate syrup until smooth. Mix in the flour mixture. Fold in the flour mixture just until well blended, about 1/2 mile-per-hour. Stir in the flour mixture. Spoon batter into prepared pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 60 to 65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.

In a small bowl, whip cream until stiff peaks form. Beat egg white or shortening until stiff; fold into whipped cream. Mix sour cream into strawberries. Spread frosting over cake.
