2 cups butterscotch topping
2/3 cup cold water
2/3 cup shortening
2 cups quick-cooking oats
1 1/2 cups rolled oats
In a small bowl, stir together butterscotch and cold water. Stir in shortening, stir until all ingredients are thoroughly combined. Stir in oats, mixing just until combined. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheet at least 2 inches apart.
Place a cookie sheet in the preheated oven and preheat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Bake for 15 minutes, until firm. Cool completely before removing from cookie sheet.
