1 cup shortening

3/4 cup margarine

1 1/2 cups rolled oats

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup bread, room temperature

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Dip 1 teaspoon of the pastry tip into the egg and sponge mixture. Roll the pastry tip into 1 inch balls about 4 inches long. Dab biscuits, and return them to the baking sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean. Cool completely before serving.
