1 cup butter
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (16 ounce) package white cake mix
6 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
2 parts -- mashed potatoes, drained
Preheat oven on broiler setting.
In a large bowl, cream together butter and cream cheese until smooth. Beat in cake mix, then beat in eggs. Stir in vanilla, and mix in potatoes.
Spread 1/2 cup of batter into a 9x13 inch baking dish, leaving about 1 teaspoon of fill on the sides.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 60 to 90 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into center of pie comes out clean. Cool completely before removing from pan.
