Honey Nut Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

1 (4 ounce) can sliced, crushed pineapple in syrup

1 tablespoon lemon juice

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 teaspoons salt

1 cup white sugar

6 boneless skinless chicken breast halves

Directions

In a medium bowl, mix pineapple and lemon juice. Set aside.

In a medium saucepan, over medium heat, combine garlic, salt, sugar and lemon juice. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer until sugar is melted and quite a bit of juice remains, about 15 minutes. Remove from heat.

Pour lemon juice into a large saucepan. Add chicken breasts and set aside. Pour over pineapple/lemon mixture, stirring, until melted. Pour about 1/2 cup mixture over chicken and stir to coat. Cover and refrigerate chicken.
