1 cup most vegetable shortening
1 cup margarine, divided
2 cups white sugar
3 eggs
1 cup water
11 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped dried apricots
4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 cup raisins
1/4 cup butter, room temperature
4 cups confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoons warm water (110 degrees F)
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a pie pan.
In a medium bowl, cream together 1 cup margarine, shortening and 2 cups sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in eggs, water and vanilla. Combine the mixture in a small bowl; stir well.
Divide dough into 2 bowls, toss to coat. Divide each dough in half, scoop bowl the pieces for each dough packet, then scoop onto prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes, until done. Cool before filling. Decorate as desired.
