1/2 cup oil for frying
1/4 cup honey
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup rolled oats
In a medium saucepan, heat oil over medium heat. Stir in honey, brown sugar, salt, and oats. Stir to coat and let stand about 10 minutes.
Fry carrots, celery, onions, and green peppers in oil, removing some of the skins. Fry until well golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
