1/3 cup margarine
2 1/4 cups white sugar
1 tablespoon lemon zest
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
2 eggs
1 (8 ounce) package chopped pecans
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease cookie sheets.
In a medium bowl, cream together margarine, sugar and lemon zest until smooth. Stir in chocolate chips, eggs and pecans. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the eggnach comes out clean. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
