Iced Tea Recipe

Ingredients

1 (20 ounce) can marshmallow creme

1 (3 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix

1 (6 ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate

1 cup milk

1 cup butter

1 egg, lightly beaten

2 teaspoons vodka

Directions

In a large bowl, combine marshmallow creme, pudding mix and lemonade concentrate. Mix well and refrigerate overnight.

In a small saucepan, heat butter and beat until some of the mixture is melted. Beat in the egg, then slowly pour, mixing well after each addition, gradually whisking until foam forms.

At the same time, pour the mug of water mixture into a small, sealable plastic bag. Place the ice cream over the marshmallow creme mixture in the freezer, only for 5 minutes.

I love this stuff. Recently, I made this tea as a gift for my mom's 50th reunion. What an amazing, easy, and kid-friendly recipe! I did it in a colander and let the tea do the talking--got pretty darn good taste. yummy!

I love this drink - I make it whenever I am in the mood for oatmeal - it is always a big hit. When I make it, I add a bit of sugar and vanilla extract, depending on how sweet I want my tea. I always add a bit more water (not milk) to keep the consistency I want. I also add more cinnamon (not powdered sugar) to keep it moist, and because I found the texture a bit too cakey. I only just ended up adding the powdered sugar, because the taste is just so good without it. I will keep working on this recipe to make it even better.

I used this recipe as a base to get an idea of amounts and ran with it. I cooked the rice separately but added the eggs, condensed milk, and vanilla to the base. I also substituted brown sugar for half the white sugar. Once everything was cooked and combined, I gave it a shake. I added more brown sugar (not necessary) and milk to thicken the soup, but this is personal preference. Mine turned out really well. Next time I make this recipe, I'd like to thicken the soup as well.
