1 (3 ounce) package orange flavored Jell-O mix
2 cups vegetable oil
4 cups whole milk
2 cups vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup pecans
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup chopped dates
4 ounces rum
1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained
1 (18.5 ounce) can sliced oranges
4 (3 ounce) packages frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 egg
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Heat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round pans.
Combine 4 cups of the evaporated milk with the oil in a large bowl. Stirring constantly, combine the whole milk, vegetable oil, eggs, lemon zest, pecans, dates, Molasses and pecans. Spoon batter into prepared pans
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool slightly before cutting into blocks of 6 to 9. Chill in refrigerator.
