3/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup white sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 egg, lightly scrambled

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan. Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt and sugar. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the milk, egg and egg using a wooden spoon. Stir in the flour mixture until just blended. Fill and frost cake with cream cheese spread.
Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out
