1 cup butter
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 (8 ounce) jar sliced mushrooms
1 (16 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup cream cheese
1/5 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Spread the melted butter over the top of a 9x13 inch baking pan, and sprinkle flour and baking soda over the top.
Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until hard and brown.
When the crust comes out of the oven, give it a small bright shake and sprinkle with basil. Mix in the marinade of your choice. Place the mozzarella cheese and onion on top but cover with a cloth; put a strip in the center, and seal edges to prevent sticking.
Combine the cheese, sour cream, mustard, Monterey Jack cheese, mushrooms, capers, cream cheese, and Monterey Jack cheese. Pour mixture evenly over the baked pie.
Bake in preheated oven for an additional 60 minutes. Meanwhile, place the mushrooms and capers in the same small bowl; smash crusts packed. Place lemon slices on top. Place green pepper slices on top of mushrooms.
