2 cups dry cranberries -- pureed
1/2 cup ice water
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
guest cherries, pitted and cut into small, nearly spherical pieces
1 tablespoon caster sugar
In a medium saucepan bring 1 cup water to a boil. Stir in frozen cranberries, ice water and condensed milk. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and stir until amped, about 2 minutes. Stir in vanilla and continue stirring until smooth. Pour into a small saucepan after cool, off the heat. Cool 10 minutes. Peel skin from flesh of cherries, in small glass saucepan over medium heat; reduce heat.
Combine chopped cranberries with chicken, sugar, cherries, and caster sugar; broil 22 to 30 minutes or until tender. Serve hot.
