1 (30 ounce) can sweet potatoes, drained with liquid reserved
3 cups milk
2 red onions, sliced
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons white sugar
In a 8 ounce metal bowl, beat 1 cup of milk, 1 cup yellow wine vinegar, and 2 cups sugar until completely smooth. Pour into a large saucepan and allow to simmer over high heat for one hour.
Remove saucepan from heat and let stand 15 minutes. Heat remaining milk and vinegar in nonstick plastic container with 3/4 cup butter or margarine; pour over sweet potatoes.
