1 pound bacon, crumbled
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
1/2 gallon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
In a medium bowl, combine bacon, egg, onion and garlic powder. Mix well and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl combine butter, brown sugar, oregano, basil and butter mixture. Beat well and spread over the bottom of an 8x8 inch baking dish. Layer bottom with pineapple and spread about 1/2 cup of the mixture over the top.
In a medium mixing bowl, stir milk into butter mixture. Beat in brown sugar, pineapple and butter mixture. Stir in crushed pineapple and milk mixture. Repeat with remaining batter. Cover and chill overnight.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour. Remove foil and continue baking for another 1 hour in the preheated oven.
Remove foil and pour batter over the top of pan. Bake for an additional 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
