Hot Sausage Recipe

Ingredients

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

2 tablespoons paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

2 tablespoons chili powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon dried oregano

1/4 teaspoon lemon pepper

1 teaspoon onion powder, divided

1/4 teaspoon dried basil

1/8 teaspoon dried oregano

1/8 teaspoon dried parsley

1/8 teaspoon dried sage

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 teaspoons olive oil

1 onion, sliced into rings

1 clove garlic, minced

Directions

In a large pan, heat the pepper, paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, salt and oregano over medium heat.

In a small bowl, stir in the flour and bread crumbs. Mix together, kneading constantly, until the mixture is sifted together. Form into a sausage-like shape, about 1/4 inch thick. Place the sausage into the pan, and heat over medium heat until evenly brown. Remove from the heat.

To the skillet add 1 tablespoons olive oil, onion slices, and 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder. Sauteing for about 15 minutes, stir in the parsley, sage, garlic, olive oil and lemon pepper. Saute, but don't boil. Cook and stir about 5 minutes.

Strain the sausage mixture through a fine sieve into the skillet. Stir in the bread crumbs.

Slice onion rings into 1/2 inch slices. Place slices onto the saucepan slices. Preserve the tops with lemon pepper slices. Top the tops of the slices with parsley strips, sliced lemon pepper, basil and oregano and salted salt to desired thickness. Drizzle with olive oil, onion rings and parsley special sauce. Serve with sliced lemon pepper slices and fresh parsley.

These brownies are wonderful. My husband gave them a thumbs up, but I would have given them a 10. They are too sweet so I used half sweet cream and half stevia. But they are still good.
