2 (9 inch) square baking pie crusts
2 (3 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (3.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
1 cup confectioners' sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Remove shells from crusts. In a medium bowl, mix together cream cheese, 1 teaspoon and vanilla extract. Fill shell with pudding mixture and cool frost.
Make Frosting: In a large bowl, mix together confectioners' sugar and chocolate pudding mix. Stir until smooth. Refrigerate 6 hours or overnight before cutting into squares.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a 10 inch jelly roll pan with foil. Melt chocolate pudding in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Pour cream cheese frosting over chocolate pudding.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes, or until center of the pie is slightly golden. Cool completely. Let cool completely before cutting into squares. Cut into 1 inch squares.
