2 9 ounce packages cream cheese, softened

1 egg, beat

1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
Bring a large pot of boiling water to a boil. Place the cream cheese and the seeds first, mixing well to form a dough. Let cool slightly.
Spoon the cooled cream cheese mixture into the small bowl. Beat vigorously until smooth. Spread the whipped topping over the cream cheese mixture. Beat the egg one tablespoon at a time, then layer it with the cream cheese mixture.
Frost the top of the pie with whipped topping, then lightly frost the bottom. Chill crust before serving. Top pie with cherries as garnishments, or or store in the refrigerator.
