Brazilian Sugar Cookies Recipe

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon ground cloves

1/8 teaspoon salt

1 egg, beaten

1 1/2 cups white sugar

8 egg yolks

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 2/3 cups milk

1 tablespoon vinegar

1 teaspoon vegetable oil

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.

In a large bowl, mix flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, beat egg and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir together egg yolks and sugar mixture. Mix thoroughly into flour mixture. Fold in flour mixture. Spoon batter into prepared cookie sheets.

Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
