1 (18.25 ounce) package white cake mix
1/2 cup shortening
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
1 (.5 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
1/4 cup boiling water
2 quarts milk chocolate syrup
1/3 cup brown sugar
4 ounces chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Spray a 9 inch springform pan with cooking spray and grease the bottom and sides of the pan.
In a large bowl, cream together the shortening and eggs. Beat in the oil, and beat until light and fluffy. Mix in the pudding mix and boiling water. Stir mixture into the creamed mixture in the pan.
Pour milk into a saucepan, and add brown sugar. Beat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened. Pour mixture into the prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely before cutting into bars.
