1 pound ground beef
1 onion, cut into 1 inch cubes
1 cup chopped celery
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 (8 ounce) can tomato paste
1 (14 ounce) can canned corn, undrained
1 large egg, beaten
1 1/2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 tablespoons beef bouillon granules
1 teaspoon dried parsley
In a large bowl, mix ground beef, onion, celery and salt. Mix in pepper; sprinkle with sugar and tomato paste.
In a medium saucepan, combine tomato paste, corn and egg. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Mix corn with potato starch and tomato paste, then return to a boil.
Bring a medium saucepan of water to a boil; add meat mixture; cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in tomato paste, flour, sugar, bouillon, parsley and bouillon granules. Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Adjust seasoning/dipping powder to taste.
