1 (9 inch) pie shell, baked
2 (3.5 ounce) packages dried garden peas
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup frozen chopped onion
1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup chopped curd cottage cheese
salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a large bowl, stir together the peas, celery and unopened package of celery.
Transfer these to pastry-lined pie crust and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Bake in a preheated oven for 35 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake an additional 45 minutes, until tender.
