1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, cubed
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon maple syrup
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
To Make Crust: In a large bowl, mix flour, maple syrup, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix well, pour mixture into a 9x13 inch baking pan.
To Make Filling: In a medium bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Stir maple syrup into cream mixture; pour over cookie crust.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in preheated oven. Cool on a wire rack, refrigerate and cut into squares.
