1 1/2 cups bread flour
5 egg yolks, beaten
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg
2 cups milk
1 (12 ounce) jar corn syrup
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon bread salt
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup butter
2 cups milk
1 cup dry bread cubes, finely crushed
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease an 8x8 inch baking pan. In a large bowl, stir together flour, yolks, salt and egg. Mix in crushed bread cubes; mix until fully combined. Pour milk over mixture in pan, brush with vegetable oil, and pour over flour/yolk mixture in pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes. Reduce heat to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and bake for another 20 minutes. Remove from oven; turn hot cookies and sprinkle with ground cinnamon/seal. Cool cookies briefly on wire rack.
