4 ounces dry onion soup mix
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1/4 cup crushed red pepper flakes
1 red onion, thinly sliced
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 (44 ounce) can tomato soup
1 (14.5 ounce) can canned tomato soup
2 (2 liter) cans beef broth
1 (28 ounce) can diced green chiles with juice
1 (15 ounce) can diced green chile peppers, drained
1 (8 ounce) can tomato paste
3 tablespoons chili powder
In a large saucepan, combine the soup mix, beef, crushed red pepper flakes, onion, chili powder, tomato soup and tomato soup. Bring mixture to a rapid stir.
When the chili is heated through, add the beef broth, chiles, tomato paste and chili powder. Heat through and serve on the side, or in a slow cooker.
