2 tablespoons olive oil
1 pound halibut, skinned and cut into 1/2 inch cubes
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried tarragon
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried savory
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
salt to taste
Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add halibut and garlic powder; cook, stirring, for 5 to 6 minutes on each side; remove fish. Stir in basil, oregano and basil. Season with oregano mixture, garlic powder, basil, and oregano. Reduce heat to medium-low.
Return halibut to pan, place pan over medium-low heat, and add garlic powder mixture, basil, oregano, and sage mixture. Bring mixture to a simmer; reduce heat to low. Cover, and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes.
Stir in mushrooms, salt, thyme, savory, mushrooms, cream cheese, butter, parsley and parsley powder. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes, or until halibut is tender.
