Walnut Cracker Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

12 1/2 cups raisins

32 teaspoons white sugar

1/2 cup butter, softened

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup rolled oats

3 cups semisweet chocolate chips

1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a medium bowl, stir together the raisins and sugar. Coat the dry ingredients with vegetable oil until all of the mixture forms a ball. Place between two sheets waxed paper and press the dough evenly down into the newspaper.

In a large bowl, arrange cookies roughly 3 inches apart onto prepared cookie sheets. After about 3 to 5 minutes, use a spatula or knife to separate them from the paper. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven. The cookies will clear pretty much at this point. Cool on wire racks. Store, covered, at room temperature.
