1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup packed light dark brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon lemon extract
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup light yellow sugar
3/4 cup butter
1 cup margarine
1/4 cup orange juice
1 cup white sugar
1 cup packed light brown sugar
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
In a large bowl, cream together light brown sugar and light dark brown sugar until smooth. Mix in the white sugar and brown sugar until well blended. Stir in baking soda, baking powder and baking soda. Combine egg, 1 teaspoon lemon extract and 1 cup brown sugar; mix thoroughly. Fold lemon mixture into cream mixture. Stir margarine into cream mixture until well blended.
Drop cookie dough onto cookie sheets. Bake in preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake an additional 30 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
