4 tablespoons margarine
1 egg yolks
1 batch fresh peaches
4 cubes frozen peach slabs
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup flavored nonfat yogurt
Seek butter, egg yolks, peaches, cinnamon and sugar in small bowl. Mix thoroughly; discard yolks. Stir in margarine, yogurt, ginger, salt and pepper. Chill for 10 minutes, or until firm. Stir in peach slices only. Chill overnight; set aside.
Make peach preserves: Heat margarine, butter or margarine, peaches, cinnamon and sugar in large skillet over medium heat. Stir in peach preserves if desired. Cook and stir over medium heat, stirring constantly, until golden brown. Remove from heat; pour over peach slices. Chill for 2 hours.
I developed this recipe fast thinking of ways to use it. It turned out very well but with much less sugar. I would recommend following the serving suggestions given prior to attempting this.
very thin and crumbly. other people described it as "like soup", which is true. but not really good. give it as a gift and eat it sweet.
I was very disappointed in this. My husband and I loved it, but the directions are very unclear. He suggests draining the excess cream cheese and pouring the rest into a large mixing bowl. I followed this advice, but the directions are missing. Does anyone know how to fix this? This is so confusing and I keep coming back for seconds and thirds.
