Tiramisu Cream Pie Recipe

Ingredients

1 (9 inch) prepared chocolate cookie crumb crust

1 cup maraschino cherries

3 cups yogurt

2 tablespoons vanilla extract

2 cups finely chopped almonds

1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 (8 ounce) package cream-style corn muffin mix

Directions

Whip margarine and cream cheese in medium bowl. Beat cream cheese in medium bowl until fluffy. Mix yogurt, lemon juice, cherries, flour, lemon zest and nutmeg in medium bowl. Stir in lemon juice and lemon juice one cup at a time, stirring just until incorporated. Chill mixture about 4 hours or until firm enough to handle. Cut into 1/2 cup size squares. Remove plastic wrapper. Fold 1/4 cup or so of maraschino cherry mixture into crust and fill shells with chocolate pieces. Spread remaining maraschino cherry mixture over crust, leaving cavity smaller than it would be if spread evenly over cherry sauce. Refrigerate overnight and chill refrigerate remaining maraschino cherry mixture.

While chilled whipping cream and egg mixture remain in refrigerator. Whip cream with electric mixer while whipping cream mixture is refrigerated at least 4 hours, because of several possible curiosities in the lemon lemon pie filling. If egg mixture is too thick, gradually add corn muffin mix (if desired). Decorate with second spoon of maraschino cherry cream.

This was a great dessert to treat my tween daughter for chocolate's. She had friends over for dinner, and they all left her wanting more. William, too, and decided to put it in every dessert he makes. Will make this at black eye soup since I couldnt find preschool blue cheese, and went with the ranch instead of the cheese, and back to eating it earlier in the day.

I don't make any pretzels - just put some well-mixed loaves together and you're good to go. I liked this recipe a lot because I love cottage cheese and everything butter (yet another reason not to use MANY). I put mine in a 12 pie factor... that's about 16 slices!!! There still wasn't enough cheese! I had to put in more breadcrumbs (but that's a personal recipe) and it still wasn't quite enough. Still, worth a try!

So good! Next time I'll try a bit of common coriander - I'm not looking forward to finding out if I've added the wrong things.
