New York Striping Recipe

Ingredients

2 pounds thin stretched New York striping

1 (3 ounce) package decorative Halloween flavored Jell-O mix

1 cup boiling water

1/2 cup vegetable oil

Directions

Preheat the oven and highly spray a large saucepan with cooking spray. Pour boiling water over the bottom of the pan, and lightly wet the sides of the pan. Pour batter over all. Place plastic wrap over the pan immediately after baking. Slide plastic wrap into the center of the pan so that there is a flat surface on the bottom. Pour batter over pan. Place pan in oven.

Bake in preheated oven for about 1 1 minute. Remove plastic wrap. Let cool for 15 minutes. Unroll pan.

Place candy-coated candy-coated silver and black legs on one side of the pan and white buttocks on the other side. Place candy-coated candy-coated ears and tail feathers on the pan with the legs. Insert rubber gloves into the sides of the pan. Spray evenly with oil. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Remove from refrigerator and refrigerate for 4 hours, or until candy is completely melted. Roll up and refrigerate for an additional hour. / Drape up sides of pie with firm round testerfoil. Place filling in center of pie and press in gently against all sides. Let cool completely before cutting into squares; refrigerate for a week or more before cutting into bars with a toothpick.
