Linen Wraps Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup margarine

1 large onion, chopped

1/1 cup chopped green bell pepper

1 green bell pepper, chopped

1 cup sliced potatoes

2 tablespoons cornstarch

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup peanut butter

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 cup milk

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

2 cups butcher-style diced carrots

1 (2 pound) loaf white bread

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

In a mixing bowl, combine margarine, onion, pepper, potatoes, cornstarch, and salt. Mix enough to incorporate. Press on the bottom of a lightly greased cookie sheet.

On a clean cookie sheet, roll each wrap in the margarine mixture to make a circle. Cut each wrap into 10 patties. Dip the patties in the peanut butter mixture, then coat evenly with light brown sugar. Place on the cookie sheet.

Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes, or until browned. Cool slightly on wire rack. Roll the patties, serving with sauce from the pan. Serve warm.

I made this for my family who normally barely tolerates Halloween. Everyone loved it. The most critical actually ate three and practically ignored the cookies. It was super easy. I will make this time and time again.
