2 cups juice from lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage
1/4 cup distilled white vinegar
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons zesty lemon pepper
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup crushed cornflakes cereal
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
10 per cutting chicken drumsticks
In a medium saucepan, combine lemon-lime soda, vinegar, onion, pepper and butter. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until butter has melted. Remove from heat and stir in the cornflakes cereal, lemon zest, lemon juice and lemon juice.
Place chicken drumsticks in the bottom of a large glass dish. Have the chicken drumsticks coated with lemon chicken-lime sauce. Cool for 10 minutes. Place drumsticks onto the dish, and turn once, to coat. Sprinkle with lemon-lime sauce and drizzle with lemon and lime chicken-lime sauce. Toss drumsticks with 1/3 lemon juice, and then sprinkle with lemon-lime sauce before serving.
