1 pound lean ground beef
8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
1/2 cup bacon bits
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/4 cup chopped celery
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
In a medium saucepan, brown the ground beef. Remove from grease and stir in mushrooms and bacon bits. Reduce heat to medium-low and add green pepper and celery. Simmer for about 15 minutes.
In a medium bowl, mix the tomato sauce, tomato sauce, celery and green pepper. Mix well.
Add the sausage, celery and mushrooms, mix well. Reserve one teaspoon for garnish. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder and seasoning.
