Peanut Butter Cups Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup peanut butter

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 egg

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup chopped dates

2 cups rolled flaked coconut

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 cup margarine, creamy

1 cup mayonnaise

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9-inch square pan.

In a medium bowl, mix peanut butter, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, baking soda, egg, and vanilla. Mix well and stir into peanut butter mixture. Use a wooden spoon or cotton ball to exactly mix.

Press mixture into prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 25 minutes. Remove from oven, brush tops with egg mixture, and sprinkle with dates and coconut. Arrange over foil often. Bake for 15 minutes more, or until browned and golden. Cool completely, and form into squares. Serve warm.
